You Just Gotta Trust Him

5 Jul

I trust God. I trust Him with my life, my family, my money. I trust Him. In all of my trusting, there are still those days I go, God do you see me? Lord do you see this struggle, hear my pain? I can’t speak for you, I can only speak for me, but there are times I look around to make sure He still has me. One area that I, to be honest with struggle with, is trusting His timing. I know the Christian cliché, He may not come when you want Him, but He’s always right on time. I’ve sung that song too, but let’s be honest, when it’s us in need….we look at things differently.

I’m here today to encourage you and me to trust in His timing. Our view is limited, if we could see what God sees, there is no telling what kind of trouble we would make for ourselves. So we should trust the ONE who knows it all. The ONE who is outside of our time and knows the end from the beginning. One of my favorite verses in the Bible says, For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NASB) He knows the plans, the question is how much do you trust Him?

When things go haywire in our lives, we have to trust that God knows what He is doing. He would not hurt us or harm us. So many times we get in a hurry and miss so much, acting outside of the will of God. This has never been so true for me, than on this past week. So many times, we think we know, when God is done using us in particular situations and I was like ok God where is the release? Only to discover that what I thought was wrong, I was there for such a time as this. As different people continued to tell me how important my role has been in this season, I had to repent. I had to apologize to God for not trusting His timing. I had to apologize for rushing my purpose. I had to apologize for being impatient. I had to say God, I trust you and that means all of you.

I don’t pretend to know why things happen the way that they do. I’m still searching for understanding in some things. But I do know if you trust His timing, He won’t lead you wrong. What are you dealing with? Are you trusting all of God or just the part of Him you can see? I’m here to tell you, you just gotta trust Him!!
